Indiana health officials warning on possible COVID-19 medications

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana Health Commissioner Kristina Box is warning residents about the use of hydroxychloroquine. Box says some individuals are using such medications on a daily basis to try to prevent them from getting COVID-19.

She added that the usage of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine to treat an individual with the virus should ultimately come down between the provider and patient.

Indiana Health Commissioner Kristina Box mentions how hoarding these medications may prevent people who actually have a disease from getting the treatment they need.
