Indiana tests scores show kids fell behind during COVID

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The coronavirus outbreak didn’t help kids in Indiana schools. The latest state test scores show only about a third of high schoolers are where they should be in math.

Less than half of elementary school kids are at grade level in math and reading.

The state’s Department of Education says losing nearly a year of school to the coronavirus didn’t help. In fact, the DOE says it will take at least a year or more to make up for what was lost.
