COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – Sports betting is now legal in Ohio and players have wasted no time getting in on the action.
A law went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on New Year’s Day allowing sports wagers at casinos and other authorized locations. The law also allows online sports betting on websites such as Fan Duel and Bet MGM.
The law took effect too late to bet on Ohio State’s national playoff semifinal on New Year’s Eve, but in time to place bets on Sunday’s NFL games.
