Indiana gasoline tax to rise in April

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Revenue says gasoline taxes will go up four-tenths of a cent to 19 cents a gallon on April 1.

It is the third straight month it has raised.

The tax is based on the average price of gasoline in Indiana the previous month.

The total tax on gasoline from the state rate and federal excise taxes will be 70.4 cents a gallon.
