New rules for this year’s Indiana State Fair

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Children under 18 who want to attend this year’s Indiana State Fair after 6 p.m. will need to be accompanied by a parent or chaperone.

That’s one of the new safety measures announced before the fair runs July 28th through August 20th, except for Mondays and Tuesdays when it is closed.

The safety plan also says weapons of any kind are banned from the State Fair, and that visitors will undergo metal detector screenings upon entry.

All bags brought into the Indiana State Fair must be 9 inches by 10 inches by 12 inches or smaller and are also subject to searches when entering.
