WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s Republican U.S. Senators were split in the vote on the debt ceiling bill that is heading to President Biden.
Senator Mike Braun was among the 36 who voted no, while Senator Todd Young was one of the 63 who voted in favor.
Braun said in a statement before the vote that the deal sends the nation “further down the path to financial ruin.”
Biden says he will sign the bill as soon as possible.
