Motorcyclist treated for head trauma after DeKalb County crash

DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that a motorcyclist crashed while trying to avoid a deer shortly after midnight Monday.

Dustin Ramsey, 43, of Garrett, was heading southwest in the 5800 block of SR 205 when he “attempted an evasive maneuver in an attempt to miss the deer.”

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says he struck his head on the pavement and was not wearing a helmet. Medics took him to a hospital for treatment of head trauma.
